I've been working on something extra fun behind the scenes lately and I am SO excited to finally share it with you all! For a while now, I've been wishing for one easy-to-use pattern that I could turn into all sorts of animals with some simple changes. And I think I cracked it! I've been making lots of different animals from my pattern, which my kids have been loving. But it's time for me to stop crocheting and share the pattern with you guys, so you can make some cute Cookie Pals of your own! And, to make things even better, Love Crafts has generously offered a giveaway for yarn that the winner can use to make these cuddly animals!
Meet The Cookie Pals! The Cookie Pals are a set of cute, cartoony animal friends. Each Cookie Pal starts with the same base pattern. The best part? The head, body, and legs of the are all made in one piece, so you'll only have to do minimal amounts of sewing. Amigurumi WIN.
With a few modifications, the base pattern can become so many different animals! The pattern PDF contains instructions for making all 11 Cookie Pals shown here: bear, puppy, cat, bunny, monkey, sheep, cow, pig, duck, platypus, and panda. I've also included a few additional ideas for other animals you can make using the pieces in the pattern, but you can get creative and make even more cute animals from this modular pattern base.
Because there are so many different animals, I'm going to do things a little bit differently with posting this pattern. I'll be posting a new Cookie Pal pattern for free on my blog each week (starting this week), with the pattern for the base and all the pieces you'll need for one animal at a time. And for anyone who wants all of the animal patterns at once, the printable PDF pattern version containing all of the instructions for every animal in one place will be available on Ravelry starting 1/30/2020. I've had 11 wonderful pattern testers try out the PDF with awesome results, so it should be easy to follow. And while we're on the topic, thank you to the pattern testers: Amy, Catherine, Christa, Erin, Katie, Krystal, Lori, Michelle, Robin, Sam, and Samantha. You are all rock stars!
Edit: You can now find the PDF of all the Cookie Pals available on Ravelry. You can find the individual patterns online here:
And we can't forget about the giveaway! The prize will be a free copy of the full pattern PDF (with all 11 animals) and 6 skeins of Paintbox Yarns Cotton Aran that you can use to make some cute Cookie Pals (you get to pick the colors)! Thank you to Love Crafts for the yarn!
You can enter the giveaway using the Rafflecopter widget below. The giveaway is open worldwide (except for a few excluded countries they don't ship to that you can find listed here...sorry!). The giveaway begins today and ends on Wednesday, January 29th at 11:59 PM (EST). The winner will be picked at random and will be contacted by the email they provided (so make sure you pick one that you actually check!). The winner has 24 hours to respond; if they don't respond, then a new winner will be chosen in their place.
Good luck, everyone! And be sure to check back later this week after the giveaway ends for both the launch of the PDF pattern on Ravelry and the first Cookie Pal pattern being posted on the blog. These little guys are just too cute to miss! Feel free to contact me in the comments section below or on social media if you have any questions about this.
