Have you ever tried to buy rhubarb before? It's way more difficult than it has any right to be. You drive around to all the stores, then scour the produce sections for any sign of it. Finally, in desperation, you flag down an employee who responds with a confused expression. "What's a rhubarb?" You get smart and start calling ahead, only to be disappointed. Then you FINALLY locate some, but it's a 30 minute drive away. And this is during peak rhubarb season, mind you. But you know what? It's totally worth it for this pie. Because this pie is magical.

I don't know about you all, but the mom brain has been in full force over here lately. Maybe it's because I keep trying to remember lots of small things rather than one or two big ones, but it seems like I could use a little extra assistance in the memory department. So I whipped up a "remember-ring" to help me out. This ring is a handy visual reminder for something on your to-do list, or it can also just be a cute accessory! And, since it's pretty small, this light bulb ring works up really quickly, making it a perfect last-minute project.  Do you remember the pattern for the cactus appliqué I posted the other day? This is what I ended up doing mine! I had this idea in my head of a small, summery cross-body bag and I just had to make one. And I'm sharing the pattern so that you can make one too!  Is it just me, or are cacti somewhat trendy at the moment? There are lots of different crocheted cacti out there and it's easy to see why. They're so cute! So when I decided that I wanted to use a little cactus for my next crochet project, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to join the "Crochet Cactus Cool Kid Club" and design one of my own. It took a bit of trial and error, but I love how this adorable little appliqué turned out!  It's no secret that I love felt boards. They're one of my very favorite toys because the possibilities are basically endless! If you haven't checked out my felt board tutorial yet, you should go take a look (spoiler alert: felt boards are really easy and inexpensive to make).
