When my daughter requested that I crochet her a mouse, I couldn't wait to get started! I had a great time designing this cuddly little mouse and my kids have all tested it out (the baby even gives it her chomp of approval), so it's sure to be a winner. Have you ever wanted to crochet a knit pattern? I don't mean just finding a crocheted version, but actually reading the knit stitches and then crocheting them? Can you translate knitting directly into crochet? The idea came to me the other idea when I was knitting this super cute Otso bear pattern from London Loop Knit Lounge, so I decided to try it! I'm not an expert knitter, but I have enough crochet amigurumi experience that this seemed like the perfect pattern to try it out on. I found it to be a fascinating experiment, so I couldn't resist writing up some thoughts about what happened when I tried it. 

Baby #4 has joined our family and we're all so happy she's here, safe and sound. She's been keeping me extra busy lately (no surprise there), so I haven't had much time for crocheting. But I finally managed to finish a project and I can't wait to share the free crochet pattern with you all! Meet the bunny lovey! ​

It's finally starting to actually feel like fall here in Arizona and my kids are VERY excited for Halloween. My youngest is especially enamored with all the decorations we see out and about. So when she requested that I make her a friendly pumpkin friend, I knew how happy it would make her and couldn't resist whipping one up for her. Since I made the pattern anyway, why not share it on the blog? I know it's somewhat last minute, but this little plushy works up quickly with minimal sewing (the head, body, and legs are all one piece), so there's still time if you want to make one. Happy spring, yarn friends! It feels like we're already creeping into summer around here in Arizona (we hit our first 90 degree day last week), but I'm determined to enjoy spring for as long as I can. There's nothing quite like watching all of the trees grow new leaves and seeing all the flowers blossom. It's seriously magical. This heart is the perfect size for hugs and can be customized with whatever color or face design you'd like. Or you can leave off the face entirely; it'll still look great.
